On the evening of Thursday, January 16th, 2025, a landmark event in the South Asian wedding industry took place at the Newark Airport Marriott. Organized by DulhanExpo’s Sumit Arya, the event brought together prominent figures from the wedding industry for what became the largest wedding industry networking event in the USA.

The event, which was a hybrid celebration of the ‘DulhanExpo Success Party,’ ‘Food Festival Launch,’ and ’22nd Anniversary Gala,’ saw over 200 industry professionals and media moguls in attendance. Among the distinguished guests were renowned veterans such as Parbodh Sharma of Indian Cafe, Pradip Kothari of Quick Travel, Rinku and Saggar of Rasoi Caterers, and many more. The evening also featured notable performances, with a BellyDancer from Dance Soul Entertainment, Singer Albert Charles, and a Violinist from Violin Event Entertainment providing entertainment.

The event was catered by Bukhara Grill Caterers, owned by Raja and Akshay Jhanjee, who delighted guests with a lavish spread of 40+ appetizers and main course selections. Attendees were treated to an unforgettable culinary experience, with live stations offering an array of delicious dishes. Several other vendors, including Island Coco Company, ChaiTruck NJ, and DS Luxury Studios, provided refreshments like fresh coconut water, tea varieties, and snow cones, adding to the festive atmosphere.

One of the most unique aspects of the event was Sumit Arya’s personal touch as he went around every table, introducing each vendor and sharing their success stories. Many past and current participants of DulhanExpo expressed their gratitude for the role the expos have played in their careers. The event celebrated over two decades of success, with the upcoming 2025 DulhanExpo calendar being unveiled during the evening.

Sumit Arya announced that DulhanExpo will continue its legacy with a series of events in 2025, hosted at prestigious Marriott and Hilton venues. These expos will take place on various dates across the year, offering free admission and welcoming the public. The event lineup includes expos in Iselin NJ, South Jersey, Philly, and Newark, with the promise of a fresh, modern website design for DulhanExpo.com.

In a significant addition to the format, DulhanExpo will introduce a ‘Grooms Lounge’ at select events in 2025. This lounge will offer a range of pampering experiences, from live haircuts and chair massages to exotic car displays and a cash bar, catering to the groom’s needs during wedding planning.

Moreover, a new phenomenon—the “South Asian Food Festival”—is set to take place on September 14, 2025, at the Newark Airport Marriott. The event will showcase 100+ restaurants, caterers, and culinary industry leaders, with food tastings, live cooking demos, and workshops. The festival aims to revolutionize the culinary industry and raise the bar for food events.

Sumit Arya, a dedicated figure in the wedding industry, shared his journey from starting as a photographer and decorator to becoming the world’s largest producer of South Asian wedding expos. Having organized over 117 exhibitions, Arya is now expanding into the world of food showcases, bringing his passion for culinary arts to new heights.
