Uttarakhand Samaj of Greater Chicago holds executive board meeting

The Uttarakhand Samaj of Greater Chicago, USOGC, recently held its annual executive board meeting to bid farewell to outgoing President Chandan Singh Khati, and welcome the new executive board elected for 2023–2024.

The new executives include:
President: Smita Pant
Vice President: Vikram Singh Negi
Treasurer: Rashmi Joshi Mohan
Secretary: Rahul Sharma
Joint Secretary: Mohan Rawat

After organizing a very successful Holi celebration, the next in line is the USOGC Summer Picnic that will be held on June 18th in Busse Woods, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, a press release from organizers said. Another much-awaited event of the year is the Uttarakhand Diwali celebration which will be held in November.

The organization noted in its press release that it continues its commitment to supporting charity programs in Uttarakhand, “helping small and local organizations that are doing remarkable work in remote areas of Uttarakhand.”

Established in 2015, the USOGC has completed eight years of “keeping alive the rich tradition and customs of Uttarakhand in America. A lot has been done, and a lot more needs to be done in the years to come,” organizers noted.
