U.S.-India to continue close cooperation: national security advisors

The new Biden administration’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan spoke by phone Jan. 27, 2021 with Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.

Sullivan reaffirmed President Biden’s commitment to a strong and enduring U.S.-India strategic partnership based on the two countries’ shared commitment to democracy, a readout of the call from the White House said.

The two NSAs discussed the importance of continuing close cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, promoting regional security, and renewing efforts to collaborate on global challenges, including COVID-19 and climate change.
