The organization South Asian Community Outreach, SACO, announced it is holding its flagship annual event, the interfaith holiday celebration on the evening of Dec. 14, 2022, at Royal Albert’s Palace in Fords, N.J. The event will showcase the heritage and culture of South Asian-American communities, a flyer announcing the event sent out by Founder and Chairman Sam Khan, said.

Khan said it is important to stress similarities rather than differences and sit down together and demonstrate those qualities.

“I once again invite you all to come to make history as we honor those that support not only one community but all those that, through trial and tribulation, do the best they can to improve our world by uniting us instead of dividing us,” Khan said in the invitation to attend.

“The purpose of this Interfaith Holiday dinner is for our community to share with our Christian, Jewish Muslim Hindus and other communities during the Holiday Season so we can come together to honor those who share our values of community service and working for the good of humanity,” Khan added.

The mission of SACO “is to unite us all as one community, no matter our background or socio-economic status,” the release from the organization said, something that is especially important in recent years which “have seen an uptick in the severity of bigotry, ignorance, and other forms of hate.”
