Maruti International’s and T-Series Films’ Thank God, starring Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh, has created a buzz since the first look of the film is out. To add to the anticipation, the makers launched the trailer the next day. The film is co-produced under Soham Rockstar Entertainment and Anand Pandit Motion Pictures.

Ajay Devgn plays Chitragupt, who is assigned with the task of keeping complete records of the actions of human beings and punishing or rewarding them according to their karma. Upon their death, he has the task of deciding whether they go to Swarg (Heaven) or Narak (Hell), depending on their actions on earth. Sidharth Malhotra plays a young man who is neither dead nor living and is made to play the Game of Life by Chitragupt! Ajay gets into comedy zone after Golmaal Again, Total Dhamaal and De De Pyaar De.

This hilarious slice-of-life movie promises to be a grand Diwali release to be enjoyed with family. Director Indra Kumar’s refreshing and relatable story will not only tickle the viewer’s funny bones but also convey a beautiful message at the end.

Indra Kumar made his debut as a producer with the hit Mohabbat in 1985 and turned director with Dil (1990). Beta(1992), Raja(1995), Ishq (1997) and the comedies Mastii(2004), Dhamaal (2007), Double Dhamaal (2011), Grand Masti (2013) and Total Dhamaal (2019) are among the films he has made that were successes or hits. He is actress Aruna Irani’s brother and is among the longest-lasting successful directors in Hindi cinema.

Kiku Sharda, Seema Pahwa and Urmilla Kothare co-star, with Nora Fatehi in a special appearance enacting a version of the cult Sri Lankan Yohani’s song Manika mage hithe. Anand Raaj Anand, Tanishk Bagchi, Rochak Kohli and Chamath Sangeeth score music.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Sunir Kheterpal, Deepak Mukut, Anand Pandit and Markand Adhikari and co-produced by Yash Shah, the film is all set to release October 25.
