KVN Productions, a banner working for the first time with South superstar Vijay, has become the newest to work with the actor in his film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69. H. Vinoth will direct the film and Anirudh Ravichander will score music.

With everything being different other than the title that Vijay has and Vijay himself, it is unlikely that this last film of Vijay before he joins politics is a sequel to Thalapathy is the G.O.A.T., his recent film that has become a huge hit in the South. The film’s script had a twist that might have led to a possible sequel. Maybe, some years later, Vijay will return to the screen with it!

A poster released by KVN Productions on the eve of this official announcement has excited fans. The official Instagram handle of KVN Productions stated, “We are beyond proud & excited to announce that our first Tamil film is #Thalapathy69, directed by the visionary #HVinoth, with music by the sensational Rockstar @anirudhofficial Super happy to collaborate with the one and only #Thalapathy @actorvijay The torch bearer of Democracy is arriving on Oct 2025 @Jagadishbliss @LohithNK01 #Thalapathy69ByKVNProductions #KVN5” Venkat K. Narayana produces the film.

The film will be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, and with this film’s announcement, Vijay completes 32 years of stardom, which began with his first lead role in 1992, Naalaiya Theerpu directed by S.A. Chandrashekhar, Vijay’s father.

Before that, Vijay had acted in six films as a child artiste, starting with the 1984 super-hit, Vetri, starring Vijayakanth and also directed by S.A. Chandrashkehar. While Vijay had made his pan-Indian debut last year with Liger, his father had directed a few Hindi films as well in the 1980s and early 1990s, of which the only successful film was Kudrat Kaa Kaanoon (1987).
