Tampa-based financial executive Julie Patel named CFO of the Year

The Chief Financial Officer of Central Florida Behavioral Health Network Inc. Julie Patel, was recently named an honoree for the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2021 CFO of the Year awards.

Patel is among the 23 local finance executives chosen as honorees.

The award recognizes Tampa Bay’s top financial executives for their leadership, which became even more invaluable as companies navigated the Covid-19 pandemic throughout 2020 and into 2021, according to a press release from Tampa Bay Business Journal.

The desire to help people and the opportunity to be accountable for providing that help is what inspired Patel to become a finance executive, she told the business journal in her profile.

“Ensuring funding is always available to help those in need. It was a personal goal as well as a means to being a positive role model for my children. Kids have a way of making sure they follow the example you lead by,” she added.

Patel has been the CFO of CFBHN since 2010. She completed her MBA from Argosy University, Sarasota and her BA in Finance and Marketing from Georgia State University.

Award honorees will be celebrated this year during a virtual event on May 27.
