Shreejidwar Haveli in Chicago, hosted a Sharad Poonam Garba event October 18, 2024, attracting hundreds of devotees to celebrate this much-loved, joyful observance.

Sharad Purnima, a significant night in the Hindu calendar, celebrates the Ras Lila that Lord Krishna performed with the Gopis under the full moon. It’s a time of spiritual reflection, devotion, and joy, making it a cherished moment for the entire community.

“Our tradition has been revived,” Paragi Patel is quoted saying in the press release, reflecting the joy and unity throughout the gathering.

A special Thakurji aarti set the spiritual tone for the celebration. The highlight of the night was DJ Bharat Oza, known was his ability to blend tradition with modernity, to keep the crowd  dancing  for over four hours.

Garba classics likeDholida, Pankhida, and Sannedo, to his innovative mixes, he catered to all age groups, ranging from 3-year-olds to seniors over 85 joining in the spirited celebration.

Nostalgic tunes like Tara Vina Shyam, Bhammariya, and Melom added to the festivities.
Shreejidwar Haveli remains dedicated to preserving these traditions while educating future generations about culture and spirituality, the press release said, under the leadership of Dr. Umang and Paragi Patel.
