Senators Booker, Gilliband, others, to visit India, Nepal, European countries, to strengthen ties

United States Senator Cory Booker, D-NJ, and others from New York, are part of a Congressional delegation including visiting India, Nepal, and countries in Europe over the coming week.

Booker joins Senators Kirsten Gillibrand, D-NY, Representative Mondaire Jones, D-NY, and Mark Kelly, D-AZ, and GOP Senators, in a congressional delegation visit to Poland, UAE, India, Nepal and Germany over the next eight days, his office announced in an April 18, 2022, press release.

“This strong congressional delegation will have the opportunity to meet with U.S. military leadership and troops in Poland in order to learn how the U.S. can continue to support Ukraine and our NATO allies against Russia’s unprovoked and unwarranted war. In addition, the delegation will meet with a number of key foreign leaders in Poland, UAE, India, Nepal and Germany to strengthen ties during this period of heightened global tension,” the delegation said in a press release.

Due to security concerns, the delegation could not provide any further details at this time regarding the bipartisan congressional delegation, the press release said.
