Salman Khan does it again—for Riteish Deshmukh

Riteish Deshmukh has expressed his gratitude to Salman Khan for making a special appearance in his directorial debut Ved.

Thanking Salman Khan for being a part of his Marathi film again, Riteish took to Instagram, sharing his BTS pictures the teh superstar and captioning them like this: “I have no words to express my gratitude for his grace and kindness.” Riteish went on to show his high regard for Salman Khan and his gratitude to everyone as he completed the shooting.

Salman has already been seen in Riteish’s 2014 Marathi film, Lai Bhaari, which had featured his actress-wife Genelia Deshmukh in a cameo appearance in a song—she had also co-produced the film. The Dhamaal-Housefull franchise actor’s Ved will also mark the Marathi film debut of his wife Genelia. Currently, Riteish and Genelia also filmed Mister Mummy, which will star them opposite each other.

Curiously, Riteish has never co-starred with Salman Khan in a Hindi film despite their great personal relationship. Neither has he worked with Genelia. There was a time, however, half a decade ago, when Salman has signed Riteish’s ambitious Marathi project as a producer, Chhatrapati Shivaji, in which he was to play his first featured Marathi role. The actor had then expressed his wish to do more regional films. The actor was quoted as saying in a leading daily, “I forced myself into the film and have a good enough role in the movie.”
