Rupi Kaur crowned Mrs. Illinois American 2022

Chicago resident Rupi Kaur was recently crowned Mrs. Illinois American 2022, the first Indian American to win this title. She will be going for the Nationals in Las Vegas in August 2022 to compete for Mrs. American. Rupi Kaur has been in the USA since 2002. Her ancestral home is Punjab and she migrated to the United States in 2002. She is married with two kids. Kaur has Masters in Business Administration and has worked with Fortune 500 companies, according to a press release from Asian Media USA.

She is also a real estate agent affiliated with Coldwell Banker and was featured in the Chicago Agent Magazine in early 2021.

Despite her heavy work and family schedule, Kaur finds time to volunteer for various social service activities, the press release said, adding that her hobbies include traveling, volunteering and spending time with her family.

Kaur has taken part in fashion shows and pageants in the past. Her platform is Women’s Empowerment. She believes anything is possible to achieve in the U.S. and she is always looking for new opportunities. However, “Never take anything for granted in life, God always has a plan for everyone,” the press release quoted her saying.
