Regina Cassandra turns philanthropist

Actress Regina Cassandra has made an impact with her recent back-to-back performances in Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke, Farzi and Rocket Boys 2 in the last two months. The actress has now turned philanthropist by joining Democratic Sangha as co-founder and participating in a rural women’s leadership program.

A session on reproductive health and menstrual cycle was recently conducted in Chakaliguda village in Telangana. The flagship Rural Women’s Leadership Program works to build leadership of women at the grassroots. It empowers women to become advocates of development and change in the village. The program is a capacity-building platform in 12 key areas for women at the grassroots. It is a one-year program and the rural women are trained in one module each for 12 months.

The actress was also featured in IMDB’s Popular Indian celebrities at position four along with the biggest names of Hindi cinema. She is doing 8 new films— Flashback, Soorpanagai, Karungaapiyam, Borrder, Kallapart, Breaking News, Mareechika and director Deekay’s untitled film.
