The event featured thought-provoking presentations.

Chairman of ASARP Pradeep B. Shukla delivered a talk entitled “What Do We Look for in 2025?” Shukla invoked Malcolm X’s famous quote, “The future belongs to those who prepare for it today,” to explore upcoming legislation, including anti-money laundering regulations, tenant credit report laws, and shifting tax policies. He also emphasized innovative solutions like modular developments and adaptive reuse to address housing challenges.

John Gormley, CEO of Mainstreet REALTORS, shared data-driven insights into current and future housing trends, including rising inventory levels, improved mortgage quality, and the favorable demographics for first-time homebuyers and investors. He also projected increased home sales as mortgage rates stabilize.

A lively panel discussion, moderated by ASARP President Sunita Kakarlapudi, was the event’s highlight. Panelists included Gormley, Shukla, Nick Verma, and Bimal Pandhi, who shared actionable strategies for realtors navigating 2025’s market. Topics ranged from improving market times to leveraging economic trends for maximizing investments.

Dr. James Adlam, senior vice president of Team Revolution Global, Inc., offered practical advice on optimizing NOI and cashflows through essential services, empowering attendees with tools for financial growth.

Organizers thanked sponsors Stacey Mathes of DPS Referral Network and Dr. James Adlam for their support.

Dinner included East Indian cuisine, including Bengal’s finest specialties, the press release said.
Patel shared news of Nick Verma’s appointment to the Auction Advisory Board of IDFPR, noting this was a ‘milestone’ for ASARP. Patel praised Verma’s excellence in service, calling it “one more feather in ASARP’s cap.”

Additionally, President Kakarlapudi unveiled ASARP’s updated website, www.ASARPHome.com, which now features new photos, videos, presentations, and tools for direct event registration and online membership enrollment. She encouraged members to explore the portal’s sponsorship opportunities, designed to enhance marketing coverage.

The event closed with a “call to action” for 2025, from  Shukla and Patel, who shared the Sanskrit proverb:”Udyamena hi sidhyanti kāryāṇi na manorathaiḥ | nahi suptasya siṃhasya praviśanti mukhe mṛgāḥ ||” The proverb was intended to remind attendees that success comes through effort and action, not passive waiting.
