Ravi Teja gives the mahurat clap for Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2

The shooting of the highly-anticipated sequel to Raid, the 2018 hit—Raid 2—directed by Rajkumar Gupta, has begun in Mumbai. The mahurat clap was given on leading man Ajay Devgn and leading lady Vaani Kapoor by South idol, Ravi Teja.

Joining the list of fresh pairings in 2024, Vaani Kapoor will be seen as the lead opposite Ajay Devgn. The young actress is known for her solid performances in films like Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui and WAR and is set to sizzle with her fresh chemistry with Ajay.

Also present at the mahurat were producers Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak and co-producers Shiv Chanana, Sanjeev Joshi and Aditya Chowksey.

The film has commenced shooting in Mumbai from January 6 and will be extensively shot in Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. The first film captivated audiences with its gripping narrative, and now, with the sequel underway, Raid 2 promises even more intensity with double the drama and suspense.

Raid 2 will be presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series and is a Panorama Studios production. It will release theatrically on November 15, 2024.
