Rasika Dugal shines in the latest short, The Broken Table

In a fairly short while, Rasika Dugal has made a mark as a powerhouse performer in cinema, web series and now in a short film, She has always stood out in each project, and has now made her mark again in The Broken Table.

Directed by Chintan Sarda, and starring Naseeruddin Shah, the short film is an unique tale of love and individual identity. The film that was released on Large Short Films is being loved by audiences and critics alike. This is also their second  collaboration.

Rasika, who plays a young caregiver and a budding psychologist, is receiving rave reviews. The Mirzapur actor said, “I am delighted that this simple yet unusual story about love and acceptance is resonating with people. I am always intrigued by the precision required for storytelling in the short film format. And I am happy that there is a wide audience for short films that is noting and appreciating the nuances of this kind of storytelling.”

She adds, “Collaborating with Naseer-saab again after our short film The Miniaturist of Junagadh was a wonderful experience, and every moment with him on set is like a masterclass. His commitment to the work never ceases to amaze me and brings out the best in me as an actor.”

Rasika is all set to deliver some varied performances with the different kinds of projects that are going to be released this year. They include the horror story Adhura, Fairy Folk, Lord Curzon Ki Haveli, Little Thomas and Mirzapur 3.
