A sumptuous Diwali lunch thali, served in silverware to the media at the Grand Sangam Ballroom of the Hotel J.W. Marriott, was but the culmination of the celebrations for the launch of the Ram Setu anthem, Jai Shree Ram, on October 20 amidst hysterical fans. The screening, however, was held at the PVR multiplex, Juhu.

Producers Vikram Malhotra of Abunduntia Entertainment and Manish Menghani from Amazon Prime Video (this is their first original Hindi film production) were also present along with writer-director Abhishek Sharma. The fans who were present (this is a new trend that was there only off and on earlier) went hysterical with Akshay’s entry and hollered, “Ek khiladi sab pe bhaari! (A single khiladi is better than everyone else)!”

The trailer as well as the anthem, Jai Shree Ram, received deafening applause and showed promise of a blockbuster entertainer. The song, written by Shekhar Astitva and composed and sung by Vikram Montrose, was later sung by Akshay himself with the media and fans to Karaoke as a special surprise to all.

Jacqueline Fernandez, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Satyadev Kancharana and Nassar are also in the cast.
