R. Madhavan has a working birthday

R. Madhavan spent his 53^rd birthday on June 1 being engrossed in work. He is currently shooting in Chennai for his next project, Test, with Nayantara and Siddharth.

Talking about having a working birthday, Madhavan said, “Birthdays are special, no doubt, but for me, my work is equally important. I feel fortunate to be doing what I love, and that in itself is the best birthday gift.”

Interestingly, his special day comes shortly after Madhavan’s remarkable achievement at the IIFA Awards last week, where he was honored with the prestigious Best Director award for his outstanding work in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. Madhavan also acted in the film as Nambi Narayan. The biographical drama of the former scientist was liked both by audiences and critics. Madhavan’s win at the IIFA consolidated his position as one of the talented filmmakers in the industry, as this was his directorial debut.

Madhavan’s Test has already created buzz among fans and industry insiders. Featuring his Ayutha Yezuthu and Rang De Basanti co-star Siddhath, the Tamil sports drama around cricket is directed by debutant Sasikanth. Raashi Khanna has also been signed to play a key role in the project co-produced by Chakravarthy Ramachandran and Sasikanth (who has been a successful producer) under YNot Studios.
