Priyanka Chopra Jonas to do next Rajamouli adventure

After years, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who has even decided to shift her film production company to USA a while ago, has finally signed a film in India, though the buzz about her exiting Farhan Akhtar’s directorial co-starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt is still neither confirmed nor denied.

And the woman who could have easily become No. 1 in Hindi cinema has grandly chosen an apt filmmaker and vehicle—S.S. Rajamouli’s next! In keeping with current South Indian traditions for untitled films, the movie is tentatively titled #SSMB29. The SS stands for the filmmaker while MB is about leading man Mahesh Babu.

The film also co-stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and will be a Rs. 100 billion ‘global jungle adventure’ that will be slated for release in two parts in 2027 and 2029. The ‘29’ in the title represents 2029, the year the second part will be released. It will thus be the costliest Indian film ever made. The music, as always, will be done by Rajamouli’s cousin, M.M. Keeravani.
