Prime Video’s Original Series Call Me Bae to premiere on Sept. 6

Directed by Collin D’Cunha, Call Me Bae features Ananya Panday in the lead alongside an ensemble cast including Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra and Mini Mathur. A Dharmatic Entertainment production, with Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra as executive producers, the series is created by Ishita Moitra.

Prime members in India and across 240 countries and territories worldwide can stream the series starting September 6.

The 8-part series features Ananya in her streaming debut as Bella ‘Bae’ Chowdhary. Written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair, Call Me Bae is the story of Bae, a billionaire fashionista who is disowned by her ultra-rich family, owing to a salacious scandal. And for the first time in her life, she has to fend for herself.

On this journey, she overcomes stereotypes and discovers who she really is, finding out that her most valuable assets are not her diamonds, but her street smarts and style. Broke but refusing to be broken, she navigates the newsrooms of Mumbai, finding beaus, behens and her better self.
