Prime Video unveils character video of Sidharth Malhotra from Indian Police Force

Escalating the excitement for the premiere of the next chapter of Rohit Shetty’s Cop-Verse, Indian Police Force, Prime Video unveiled Sidharth Malhotra as DCP Kabir Malik in an interesting character video. The lead actor brings a perfect blend of charisma and intensity to the character of a Delhi police officer in the series, which also marks director Rohit’s and Sidharth’s debuts on the web.

The video showcases the challenges and complexities that Kabir faces in the line of duty, giving audiences a glimpse of the high-octane drama and action that the series is set to deliver.

Shetty’s action heroes are heroes in the strictest sense of the film term and so, with a commanding onscreen presence that exudes strength, Sidharth looks refreshing in a never-seen-before cop avatar. His character embodies a powerful combination of commitment, sacrifice and an unwavering pursuit of justice. Known for his stellar performances, Sidharth is all set to stun audiences in a compelling role of a police officer with some power-packed action sequences.

For Sidharth, this is his fourth patriotic project after a trilogy of nationalistic films in Aiyaary (2018), Shershaah (2021) and Mission Majnu (2023).

Created by Rohit Shetty and directed by Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash, the series also features Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi in lead roles along with Shweta Tiwari, Nikitin Dheer, Rituraj Singh, Mukesh Rishi and Lalit Parimoo in pivotal roles.

Indian Police Force pays a heartfelt tribute to the selfless service, unwavering commitment and fierce patriotism of Indian police officers who put everything on the line in their call of duty to keep the nation safe. The seven-episode series is set to premiere exclusively on January 19, 2024, on Prime Video in India and across more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Rohit Shetty’s Cop-Verse is a fascinating universe that started with the 2011 Singham, going on to Singham Returns, Simmba, Sooryavanshi and now also the forthcoming Singham Again besides the Junior Singham animation series on TV. He has also made Mission Frontline, a documentary on Indian soldiers, for Discovery Channel. On the big screen, his universe is growing bigger and more fascinating with each project.
