Pan IIT Alumni Foundation launched in New York, event attended by S Jaishankar

New York, September 29:The PanIIT Alumni Foundation was launched in New York September 28, 2024. The Chief Guest at the event was India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar who was attending the 79th United Nations General Assembly sessions.

During the event, he appreciated the efforts and contributions of India’s diaspora community in developing the Viksit Bharat.

Sharing a post on X, Jaishankar wrote, “Pleased to participate in the launch of PanIIT Alumni Foundation in New York. A good chat with Dr. Purnendu Chatterjee on developing a technology and manufacturing ecosystem in India.”

He added, “Appreciate the efforts and contributions of our diaspora in developing a Viksit Bharat.”

According to the website of the PanIIT Alumni Foundation, the organization, along with National & State Joint Venture partner government agencies aims to build India’s largest public systems for human capital development and mass entrepreneurship incubation along with proposed state showcases for cross-border investment. This is aimed towards leveraging India’s demographic potential to drive collaborative change with Governments, the website says.
