NJ Verbal Vortex Speaking Tournament winners celebrate!

Power Speakers Unlimited hosted its second annual weekend speaking tournament, Verbal Vortex, over St. Patrick’s Day weekend, in West Windsor, NJ.  

More than 190 children entered and spoke on Saturday, March 16, 2024, with more than 200 people in attendance. Students from kindergarten through twelfth grades competed in three topics:  Poetry Recitation, Impromptu Speeches, and Prepared Speaking.

Prepared Speech winners include: Adita Arun, Reyan Arunachalam, Hasini Ragavendran, Anaya Jha, Sravy Mandapati and Avni Shivpuriya, Sean Wiedemer, and Atiksh Jha.

Impromptu Speech winners include:

Mishika Bhatia, MAYANK PITALE, Nuha Shuaib, and Saumya Pandey.

Poem Recitation winners include:

Aanya Kamma, Isha Ashar, Yunay Taneja, and Abira Pramod.

The speaking tournament was hosted by Power Speakers Unlimited and sponsored by Dr. Priti Tawate-Dagli and Plainsboro Dental Services, Shilpa Rathi of State Farm Insurance Agency, Kevin Chukuka and Code Wiz and Micki Kaplan McMillan of Empowerly.

Power Speakers Unlimited offers K-12 year-round programs, faculty training workshops, leadership and entrepreneurship development courses, interview preparation classes, seasonal camps, and competitive youth events.
