On the eve of the 78th Independence Day, director Mahesh Bhatt announced the talk show, Hum Tumhe Marne Na Denge, based on untold stories of our freedom fighters. The families of these individuals come together for this unscripted show to share personal anecdotes and undiscovered tales that have been concealed from history.

In each episode, viewers will witness heartfelt conversations, wherein family members share their personal recollections, anecdotes and cherished moments with these extraordinary individuals. These conversations provide unique and emotional glimpses into the human side of these iconic figures, revealing their dreams, struggles and the values that drove them to sacrifice everything for the nation.

The list includes untold stories from the lives of Bhagat Singh, Mangal Pandey, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and many more.

Said Mahesh Bhatt, “This show will serve as a reminder that the well was established by the martyrs or ancestors whose water we currently drink. Nations that lose sight of their past tend to become aimless. In order to educate the current generation about those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom, my goal is to get to know the families of those martyrs and share through them the details that are not recorded in history, by listening to their hearts. I have no doubt that you will all adore and support this program.”

Director Suhrita Das added, “I am sure this show will have a bigger impact on today’s generation since it is hosted by the legendary Mahesh Bhatt. Our society has to be informed of the many unknown tales of our great martyrs. This will serve as a tribute to the martyrs who not only secured our freedom but also illuminated the path ahead.”

Through candid discussions, the series will bridge the gap between public perception and the private lives of these heroes. It aims to shed light on their relationships, motivations and the lesser-known aspects of their character that shaped the course of India’s struggle for Independence.  While delving into these intimate memories, Hum Tumhe Marne Na Denge also explores the enduring impact of these icons in today’s society. It showcases how their legacy continues to inspire generations and instills a sense of pride and patriotism in the hearts of modern India, while also being a testament to the indomitable spirit of these icons.

The series is presented by Rajiv Mishra, founder, Drama Talkies, and will soon be live on a leading OTT platform.
