India’s first ‘World Peace Center’ will be established in Delhi NCR- Acharya Lokeshji

Mumbai: Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti, an organization established by Ambassador of Peace, Jain Acharya Dr Lokeshji, is going to establish India’s first World Peace Center in Gurugram, Haryana, construction for which is expected to start soon.

For this initiative, the Haryana Government has allotted a plot to AVB in Sector 39 of Gurugram opposite Medanta Hospital and adjacent to Delhi-Jaipur Highway, a March 17, 2022 press release from the organization said.

An important meeting of influential Jains was held at the headquarters of Shri Motilal Oswal Group in Mumbai, in which there was an in-depth discussion on the project of World Peace Center. Among those present Acharya Lokesh, Motilal Oswal, Prithviraj Kothari, Abhay Srisrimal, Madhu Jain, Kishore  Khabya, Prakash Kanugo, Ghevarchand Singhvi, Ashok Shah, Manoj Mehta, as well as guidance received from revered Acharyashri and enlightened people of the society on worldwide propagation of Jain Darshan principles and Jain unity, the press release said.

The ‘World Peace Center’ will work for the establishment of peace and harmony in the world Acharya Lokesh said. “The voice of this center of Gurugram will be heard all over the world by its work including the United Nations and the World Religion Parliament,” he said.  In addition, he said the programs of  Peace Education, prepared with the coordination of ancient knowledge and modern science, would be conducted for everyone such as students, teachers, youth, women, doctors, engineers, lawyers, traders, farmers etc.

While the Education Department is working in the field of physical and intellectual development, the World Peace Center will be dedicated to the mental, emotional and character development of the people, he added.

Abhay Kumar Srisrimal of Chennai informed those gathered that the Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti organization has got the plot by depositing the entire amount of the plot in the government fund, on which the construction work of about 30,000 square feet will be completed in two years.

Others present called it an honor to work with AVB for humanitarian programs.

Kishore Khabya and Madhu Jain said that this has encouraged lakhs of workers of the organization spread across the country and the world. Kanugo, Ghevarchand Singhvi, Ashok Shah and Manoj Mehta stressed on collective efforts for Jain unity.
