Indian Women’s Club of Northshore, IL, launched

The Indian Women’s Club of Northshore IL officially launched on December 3, 2023, marking a momentous occasion for the diverse community. The launch event, held at Founder Usha Kamaria’s residence, brought together women eager to celebrate the establishment of the organization they believe empowers them.

The Club’s activities were divided in to two groups — Nine women will lead the activities of women over 40 with the support of 11 other women. The younger group of under-40 will work together to create their own agenda according to their needs, a press release from the organization said.

The Club expects to provide a platform for women to exchange ideas, share experiences, and celebrate their heritage while making a positive impact in the society.

The launch event commenced with a warm welcome address by Kamaria, who expressed her excitement and emphasized the significance of creating a space where women can come together to inspire and uplift one another.

More than 40 women of all ages were present, and spoke to the importance of cultural preservation, community engagement, and the empowerment of women. The event featured networking opportunities, and a showcase of the organization’s future initiatives including getting involved in various charity options.

“We are thrilled to introduce the Indian Women’s Club of Northshore IL to our community,” said Manali Kamaria, founder of the Youth Wing. “This organization is a testament to the strength and resilience of Indian women in Northshore. We are excited about the positive impact we can make together and look forward to creating a close-knit community that supports each other in various aspects of life.”

The Indian Women’s Club of Northshore IL plans to host a variety of events and programs throughout the year. Membership is open to all women of Indian origin in the area who are interested in joining this enriching community.
