Police found an Indian couple, Balaji Bharat Rudrawar, 32, and his wife Arati Balaji Rudrawar, 30, dead from stab wounds April 7, 2021, in their apartment in North Arlington, New Jersey.

According to news reports, the police were called by a neighbor who saw the couple’s four-year old child crying on the balcony.

The couple lived in an apartment in the Riverview Gardens complex of North Arlington in New Jersey.

Press Trust of India reported the Indian Consulate said it was in touch with the family of the couple in India.

North Arlington police identified the couple by name on April 9, dailyvoice.com reported.

The husband’s father Balaji Rudrawar in India told Press Trust of India that his daughter-in-law was seven months pregnant. “We had been to their house and were planning another trip to the US to be with them again,” the father is quoted saying

As police continue their investigation into what is seemingly a murder-suicide, dailyvoice.com reported that Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella was waiting for the report from the Medical Examiner’s Office to officially characterize the tragedy  as such.

Balaji Rudrawar was an IT professional with L&T Infotech, Pune, and hailed from Ambajogai, Maharashtra as his Facebook account reveals. The couple were married in December 2014, and came to the U.S. in 2015.

On Feb. 10, 2019, the husband posted, “Everytime I look at you … give me a feeling of falling in love yet again” with heart emojis and #Madeforeachother.

An idyllic life, at least in pictures.
