Indian-American chamber of commerce welcomes Biden-Harris administration

The Indian-American International Chamber of Commerce based in Washington, D.C. congratulated the incoming administration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris and wished it success over the coming years, particularly in further strengthening U.S.-India relations.

Calling it a “historic” inauguration, the IAICC also recognized Harris as being the first woman and person of African and Indian heritage to hold the second highest position in the country.

“IAICC offers its full support to the Biden-Harris Administration in promoting the best interests of United States of America and enhance the U.S. India Relationship,” the organization said in a statement.

The mission of the IAICC is to “Promote and foster economic development of the United States of America, Republic of India together with the rest of the world for the benefit of all.”

Padma Shri Dr. Sudhir Parikh, publisher of Desi Talk, and chairman of Parikh Worldwide Media, who is the chairman of the board of trustees of IAICC, also congratulated President Biden and Vice President Harris, and wished them a successful tenure.

“We are hoping the Biden administration will take bilateral relations with India to the next level and cooperation with India on various fronts, especially for economic development, foreign direct investment, defense strategy, and healthcare improvement particularly with Artificial Intelligence would be highly appreciated,” said Dr. Parikh.
