Guidelines for pension applicants for “Life Certificate” from Consulate General of India New York

Every pensioner is required to submit ‘Life Certificate’ in the month of November for continuation of pension. This year, all pensioners may submit Life Certificate from 1st November, 2020 onward, till 31st December, 2020. However, the pensioners in the age group of 80 years and above, can submit Life Certificate from 1st October, 2020 onward to 31st December, 2020.

If a Pensioner is unable to visit the Consulate, he/she may submit requisite notarized documents by post to the Consulate, including Doctor’s Certificate showing the Pensioner’s inability to present himself/herself in person.

Applicants can apply for Life Certificate through PRAMIT at: https://www.indiainnewyork.gov.in/Miscellaneous_service

Please note that due to Covid-19 pandemic, limited walk-in service will be provided for Life Certificate applicants only (i.e. on any working days between 1st Oct to 31st Dec 2020) at the Consulate General of India, New York (3rd East 64th Street, New York-10065). Once, the online form is filled using the above link, the applicants would get a pop-up to book appointment for availing walk-in service.
