New York, January 26, 2025 — The Consulate General of India in New York celebrated India’s 76th Republic Day by honoring notable Indian diaspora leaders and friends of India who have made significant contributions across various fields. The event highlighted their achievements in public service, arts, technology, and cultural preservation.

Among the distinguished honorees was Manoj Chourasia, State Representative from Nashua, New Hampshire, recognized for his service to the Indian American community and his recent election victory to the New Hampshire House of Representatives.

Other prominent honorees included Kris Singh, 4th Judicial District Administrative Judge of the New York State Unified Court System; Rena Malik, Justice in the New York City Civil Court; John Guy, Florence and Herbert Irving Curator of South and Southeast Asian Art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art; Jonathan Hollander, founder of the Battery Dance Company; Dr. Ashok Chaudhury from the Indian Heritage and Cultural Organization-NJ; and Mangesh Kamat representing the Mallakhambh Association of USA.

Additional honorees listed on the Consulate’s official X account included Abhimany Mishra, the youngest Grandmaster; Sabina Dhillon, a noted attorney; Raj Lulla and Namin Shah, co-founders of Haylon Technologies; Rohit Bhadange, co-founder and CEO of Zamp; Abhinav Godavarthi, CEO of General Biological; and Sunny Aggarwal, co-founder of Osmosis Finance.

The Consulate expressed gratitude to the honorees, saying, “We thank them for joining us and accepting this honor. We hope they continue to inspire and make significant impacts, enriching both their communities and the world at large.”

Chourasia, an IT professional and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience, has lived in Nashua since 2002 and has been a community leader for over two decades. He currently serves as Vice President of the India Association of New Hampshire (IANH) and has contributed to various local charitable initiatives. As a member of the Commerce and Consumer Affairs Committee in the New Hampshire House, he is dedicated to fostering economic growth and innovation in the state.

“It was a great honor to receive such commendation from the Consulate General of India, New York,” Chourasia said, expressing pride in being recognized alongside so many accomplished individuals.
