Canadian Member of Provincial Parliament felicitates Jain Acharya

A Member of the Ontario Provincial Parliament in Canada Deepak Anand, honored Acharya Lokesh ji July 27, 2023, for the Jain religious leader’s humanitarian work and efforts to achieve peace and harmony.

The Founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti was honored in the parliament of the province of Ontario on his arrival in Toronto, a press release from Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti said. The felicitation was conducted in the presence of several heads of Indian organizations and other dignitaries.

MPP Anand praised Acharya Lokesh ji for his work in bringing about social reform, nonviolence and mutual cooperation and his contributions to the field of peace education through Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti.

Acharya Lokesh ji, who also founded the World Peace Center, expressed his gratitude on the occasion and said that this honor is not only my honor, it is the honor of the entire ancient Indian culture, it is the honor of Lord Mahavir and the ideas given by him. Acharya Lokeshji said that India and Canada together can contribute significantly in establishing peace and harmony in the world, the press release said.

The vote of thanks was delivered by several individuals including Mahendra Jain, Raj Patil, Anshul Ruhil, Harshit Shah, and Chetan Handa.
