Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Acharya Lokeshji discuss pluralism, peace and harmony

Acharya Dr. Lokeshji, founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti, recently met the Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar, in Delhi and held a detailed discussion on issues of issues around human unity, peace, harmony etc., based on Indian values in the country and the world.  Acharya Lokeshji also informed the Chief Minister of India’s ‘World Peace Center’ being established by Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti in greater Delhi, which he has described as India’s first such institution, a May 22, 2023 press release from Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti said.

The world needs the guidance of Indian values so that an atmosphere of human unity, peace and harmony can be created around the world, he said during the meeting. The ‘World Peace Center’ would conduct this work through programs of Peace Education, and will be dedicated to the Mental, Emotional and Character Development of the people, he said. He expressed the view that it “will be a world-class major center for person building, where various dimensions of Personality Development of Youth, Empowerment of Women and Children’s Culture will also be conducted through Meditation, Yoga, Indian Culture and Jain Lifestyle based scientific programs,” the press release said.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said pluralistic culture has increased India’s prestige in the world, and Bihar is the land of Lord Mahavira and Mahatma Buddha, he added, inviting Acharya Lokeshji to the Pawapuri Mahotsav to be organized by the Government of Bihar at the Nirvana Sthali of Lord Mahavir.

He praised the work done by Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti and  Acharya Lokeshji’s leadership on spreading the word about  Indian values and Indian culture from forums around the world.

Also accompanying Acharya Lokesh were Buddhist monk Dipankar Sumedho; Bhavya Srivastava, founder of Religion World and Tarkeshwari Mishra. The delegation also presented the outline of the Jain Buddhist conference in Bihar.
