Bappi Lahiri’s dream project to finally release on August 25

The late Bappi Lahiri’s ambitious film project, SRG Films International’s Love Story Deewano Ki, releases finally on August 25.

Produced by Chitrani Bappi Lahiri, Govind Bansal and Rema Govind Bansal (Bappi’s daughter), the film is a tribute to Bappi Lahiri’s legacy, inviting audiences around the world to partake in the magic that he envisioned.

The film stands as a testament to the late composer’s indomitable spirit and creativity, bringing together a constellation of talents from around the world.

The film showcases a historical alliance featuring global sensation musician Apache Indian, who is popular for songs such as Don raja and Boom-shack-a-lack, which took the nation by storm in the ‘90s for unique reggae music infused with Jamaican, Indian and English beats, and Boy George, who is known for his vibrant music.

The film stars Jaya Prada, Siddharth Dhawan, Satabdi Roy, Poonam Jhaver, Arun Bakshi, Rajesh Puri and Shweta Menon with a friendly appearance by Kiran Kumar. The film additionally has Apache Indian and Boy George grace the screen.

The story and music of the film directed by Inayat Shaikh, are by Bappi Lahiri, The associate music director is Bappa B. Lahiri and the lyrics are by Bappi, Dr. Deepak Sneh, Boy George, Anwar Sagar, Sunil Jha and Nawab Arzoo.

Govind Bansal says, “Love Story Deewano Ki is our tribute to the late Shri Bappi Lahiri. We miss him truly. It was his dream to treat his fans with a film he believed in. We have got the best talent to justify his vision. We seek his blessings. The film is a spectacular cinematic marvel. It is an epic confluence of talent and dreams.”

Rema Lahiri Bansal added, “Today, I am filled with both pride and emotion. This film was very close to my father’s heart, and I am dedicated to preserving his legacy through this cinematic journey. My father’s passion for music and cinema has always inspired me.”

This film is an updated version of his next production, Love Story 98, which was released in 1998. The composer had earlier produced Rock Dancer.
