Arvin Shah Honored with Lifetime Business Achievement Award for Sky Bird Group

Southfield, MI – Arvin Shah, Chairman and Founder of Sky Bird Group, was presented with the prestigious Lifetime Business Achievement Award by the North American Indian Chamber of Commerce (NAICC) on November 9, 2024. The award recognizes his outstanding contributions to the travel industry, marking over four decades of leadership and innovation.

As the driving force behind Sky Bird Group, one of the nation’s leading airline consolidators for travel agents, Arvin’s vision and relentless pursuit of excellence have revolutionized the travel industry. His work has not only helped Sky Bird thrive but has also significantly shaped the industry, setting new standards for competitive fares, exceptional service, and innovative solutions that support travel agents across the globe.

The event, held in Southfield, Michigan, was attended by notable dignitaries, including the Consul General of India, Mr. Somnath Ghosh; Michigan Governor, Ms. Gretchen Whitmer; and Mr. Dhaval Vaishnav, President of the North American Indian Chamber of Commerce.

“Arvin Shah’s extraordinary achievements in the travel industry and his commitment to service excellence make him a deserving recipient of this award,” said Mr. Vaishnav. “His leadership at Sky Bird Group has been a cornerstone for countless travel agents, and his philanthropic work continues to inspire the community.”

Beyond his professional success, Arvin Shah has always placed a strong emphasis on giving back to the community. In 2004, alongside his family, he established the Jaya Rehabilitation Institute, providing prosthetic treatment to victims of the 2001 Kutch Earthquake in India. That same year, he launched the Jaya Charitable Foundation in Detroit, which supports outreach initiatives aimed at empowerment and opportunity for underserved communities.

Arvin’s community involvement extends further through his active membership in organizations such as KOJAIN, JAINA, and the Jain Society of Greater Detroit. In recognition of his lifelong contributions, he was honored with the Jain Society Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019.
