In 1996, Anand Raaj Anand stormed into reckoning with his debut score as composer-lyricist, Masoom, and its hit song, Chhota baccha samajhke sung by Aditya Narayan, became an anthem on par with the hit children’s songs of the films’ namesakes, Lakde ki kaathi (Masoom / 1983 / R.D. Burman-Gulzar) and Nani teri morni (Masoom / 1960 / Hemant Kumar-Shailendra).

As 2023 ends, music enthusiasts should get ready to groove and celebrate with the party anthem, Yaar da vyah, by the music machine who made his mark in the era of Anu Malik, Nadeem-Shravan, Jatin-Lalit, Anand-Milind and early A.R. Rahman: Anand Raaj Anand. In collaboration with II Music, this song is set to be the heartbeat of every celebration and party, and the go-to melody for weddings, claims the press release.

Anand Raaj Anand, composer, lyricist and singer, is back after a hiatus and also features in the music video. On the creative front, celebrity choreographer Mayuresh Wadekar, known for his magic on Dance India Dance and roles in movies like ABCD, has made Sanam Johar and Abigail Pande, along with Chirag Salujas, take the celebration to a new level with their dancing.

Says Anand Raaj Anand: “This song is a testament to the power of celebration, and I can’t wait to share it with the world. I’m thrilled to collaborate with II Music for the release of Yaar da vyah.”

For those who came in late, Anand Raaj Anand has been the composer of films like Major Saab, Qila, Pardesi Babu, Kaante, Plan, Musafir, Grand Masti and many more, and has written lyrics for several of his films. He has also been a singer, including under Pritam in the hit song, Billo rani from Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal and under Ajay-Atul in Agneepath. Anand, hailing from a jeweler’s clan in New Delhi, has also composed music for TV serials.
