Anand Pandit, Vaishal Shah collaborate the third time with Fakt Purusho Maate

Producer Anand Pandit and Vaishal Shah has announced their next Gujarati film, Fakt Purusho Maate, after the massive success of their family entertainers, Fakt Mahilao Maate and Tron Ekka respectively in 2022 and 2023.

The story is set during the sacred 16 days of Shraadh when Purshottam (Darshan Jariwala) descends to earth from the afterlife to break his grandson Brijesh (Yash Soni)’s marriage with his childhood love (Esha Kansara) with all sorts of magic powers up his sleeve. All hell is going to break loose in this absurd comedy of errors, where a spirit pits itself against his grandchild in a battle between old, outdated principles versus current norms. The heart of this story aims to break the notions of generational patriarchy and support gender equality.

Fakt Purusho Maate is written and directed by Jay Bodas and Parth Trivedi. The film also stars Esha Kansara, Mitra Gadhvi and Aarti Vyas Patel and will release on Janmasthami 2024.

Anand Pandit shares, “We are still keeping one star name a secret and will reveal that closer to the film release. We all know Fakt Mahilao Maate had Mr. Amitabh Bachchan in a special appearance. This film also has a surprise element to woo the audience.”

Vaishal Shah adds, “With every film we want to bring families to the theatre with good values and bonding. This film is a hilarious one and audience will defiantly resonate with it.”
