Ambassador Nikki Haley campaigns for U.S. Senate candidate Adam Laxalt in Las Vegas

Nikki Haley, former Ambassador to the United Nations during the Trump administration, and first Indian-American to occupy a cabinet-level position, campaigned for the GOP candidate for U.S. Senate Adam Laxalt in Las Vegas, Sept. 28, 2022.

Haley, former Governor of South Carolina, and a rising star in the GOP, co-hosted two events with Laxalt in Greater Las Vegas, the first, held in Henderson, featured the Ladies for Laxalt coalition. The second event, held in Summerlin, was sponsored and organized by the Republican Jewish Coalition.

Haley and Laxalt discussed the U.S. economy and the southern border situation maintaining both had deteriorated under President Biden and Senator Catherine Cortez Masto’s leadership.  Democrat Cortez Masto is the U.S. Senator from Nevada since 2017. They also discussed foreign policy “at length” at both events, expressing opposition to President Biden’s efforts to continue the Iran deal signed during the Obama Administration.

Following the Ladies for Laxalt event, Laxalt and Haley held a press conference with local and national media. Questions included alleged rise in crime at the border, the “shift in the Latino vote toward Republicans” and Cortez Masto’s “refusal to agree to debates with Laxalt” the press release from the Laxalt for Senate campaign.

“Nevada knows Adam Laxalt will be the key Republicans need to stop the Biden/Cortez Masto reckless agenda. As we saw at today’s Ladies for Laxalt and RJC Event, everyone’s fired to up to send Adam to Washington. Voters from every corner of the Silver State are ready to retire Cortez Masto and put Nevada first,” Ambassador Haley is quoted saying in the press release.

“I am grateful for Ambassador Nikki Haley’s support in our race for the U.S. Senate,” said Laxalt. “Republicans, Independents, and Democrats are uniting behind our campaign because they know that we have to get America back on the right track. That starts with tackling the record inflation and high gas prices that are the result of Joe Biden’s terrible policies and his rubber stamp in the Senate, Catherine Cortez Masto.”
