He is seen as a ruthless and stubborn person named Veer in new TV show “Ghulaam”. However, actor Vikkas Manaktala says in personal life, he is totally opposite to his character and is a “feminist”.

“The show is targeting all age groups of audience. It’s a very gritty show and touches upon a lot of real topics like women’s inequality and slavery. In the interiors of our country, all this has been happening. There are so many gang rape cases in small towns that don’t even come in public eye,” Vikkas told IANS.

“We want people to see and decide what’s wrong and right. Though I am playing an antagonist, but I am truly a feminist by nature. I support women to the core. In my family, there are four doctors, one fashion designer and one interior designer – they all are my sisters. There isn’t any similarity between me and Veer. The only similarity is that we both are physically strong,” added the actor, who is best known for his role of Amardeep Huda from popular TV show “Left Right Left”.

“Ghulaam”, aired on Life OK, showcases the darker side of fictional town Berahampur, “where tyranny is the only mercy”, according to the channel.

Vikkas has not been seen much on the small screen after “Left Right Left”, except for in “Main Naa Bhoolungi”.
