Queens, Long Island chapter of AAPI holds successful Annual Gala

The American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin – Queens, Long Island (AAPI-QLI) held its Annual Gala on December 7, 2024, in Long Island, New York.

Considered one pf the largest AAPI chapters in the country, AAPI-QLI “continues to make significant contributions to both the medical field and the well-being of the broader community, earning well-deserved recognition for its impact,” a press release from AAPI said.

The national organization, represented at the event by Dr. Satheesh Kathula, president of national AAPI, extended “heartfelt congratulations” to this year’s honorees: Dr. Dipak Nandi, Dr. Sunil Mehra, Dr. Krishna Gujavarty, and Dr. Louis Kavoussi, “for their exceptional service and dedication as Indian American physicians,” the national AAPI added.

President of AAPI-QLI, Dr. Inderpal Chabra, and Dr. Raj Bhayani, Chair of the Board of Trustees, were instrumental in  organizing the successful event “marked by camaraderie, inspiration, and celebration, complete with delicious food and vibrant energy,” national AAPI said.
