The Association of South Asian Real Estate Professionals (ASARP) recently convened an important planning meeting hosted by President Sunita Kakarlapudi in Gurnee, IL.

The organization emphasized its dedication to empowering South Asian real estate professionals through innovative strategies such as a focus on women’s empowerment, growing the membership, entering global collaborations and partnerships, and building leadership.

Past President Shirin Marvi set the tone for the evening with a call to strengthen ASARP’s organizational foundation. She urged attendees to align their efforts with the association’s mission and contribute to its continued growth.

Chairman Pradeep B. Shukla, invoking metaphor from Alice in Wonderland, emphasized the importance of having a clear mission. “If you don’t know where you want to go, any path will take you there,” he remarked, urging ASARP to embrace a focused and strategic approach for long-term success.

Incoming President Sunita Kakarlapudi presented an ambitious roadmap for ASARP’s future. She outlined strategies to grow membership, foster partnerships with organizations like the Main Street Organization of Realtors, and announced a landmark initiative: a delegation to New Delhi in March 2025 to strengthen ties with NAR India, following their successful trade mission to Chicago earlier this year.

Harsha Shukla led a spirited discussion on women’s empowerment, emphasizing the need for ASARP to champion diversity and inclusion.

Other ASARP leaders, Raj Patel, Nick Verma, and Nimish Jani, shared their insights to enhance ASARP’s resources and member engagement.

As a leading member of ASARP, Bhailal M. Patel, encouraged attendees to renew their commitments in 2025 initiatives, to amplify their support through financial contributions and volunteerism, energizing the community and driving the organization’s mission forward.

The meeting concluded with a unified pledge from key leaders. Mohan Kakarlapudi and Bimal Pandhi committed to enriching the member experience and fostering a vibrant ASARP community. Mita Jani and Malti Pandhi shared innovative ideas to propel the organization to new heights.
