Entertainment journalist and author Rajiv Vijayakar joins Parikh Worldwide Media

Parikh Worldwide Media is announced December 14, 2021, that Rajiv Vijayakar, Mumbai-based author and entertainment journalist of more than 25 years standing, has joined the U.S.-based media conglomerate.

Vijayakar has had a distinguished career, serving twice on the Indian National Film Awards Jury, and the recipient of the Vishwa Hindi Sammaan award in 2013 for his services to Hindi cinema and music.

He has authored four books of which, the first, “The History of Indian Film Music” is on the teaching course at the Herb Alpert School of Music, University of California, Los Angeles. His latest book, “Music By Laxmikant Pyarelal” was just released in November 2021. His other books are on Hindi Film Lyrics (in English) and a biography of Dharmendra.

Vijayakar has written for several publications in the U.S. and India, including California-based India West since the mid-1990s, and prestigious Indian publications like Screen, Filmfare, Mid-Day, and Stardust. He also writes for Deccan Herald and Bollywoodhungama.com.

Vijayakar now joins Parikh Worldwide Media as Entertainment Reporter effective Dec. 15, 2021.
