Actress-producer Priyanka Chopra says that she started her production with small and regional films as she thought some films and subjects needed her support.

“Big personalities produce Hindi films. I am a small producer. I thought that there are some films and subjects which needed my help and support,” said Chopra on April 25 at the success party of her production “Ventilator” that has also received a National Film Award.

Priyanka attended the success bash along with entire cast and crew of the film including Ashutosh Gowariker and the film’s director, Rajesh Mapuskar. While interacting with the media, she asserted that she always wanted to produce content-driven films.

“Sometimes filmmakers doesn’t get the opportunity to present their stories for the audience and that is the reason why I always wanted to produce content driven films across any language,” added Priyanka.

“Ventilator” is a Marathi film produced by Chopra under her company Purple Pebble Pictures. It has won three awards at the 64th National Film Awards- Best Director, Best Editing and Best Sound Mixing.

She has also produced Bhojuri film “Bam Bam Bol Raha Hai Kashi” and Punjabi film “Sarvann”.
