Sudhir Choudhrie to be honored by Dr. Mehmet Oz at HealthCorps gala in New York

New York: Sudhir Choudhrie, his wife Anita Choudhrie and the Choudhrie Family Foundation will be honored by HealthCorps, a national non-profit that gives young people life-saving skills, at their 11^th annual gala, to be held at Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers, New York City, on April 3^rd.

Sudhir and Anita Choudhrie and the Choudhrie Family Foundation will be honored for their contributions toward improving the health and well-being of America’s youth.

Dr. Mehmet Oz, HealthCorps Chairman, renowned cardiothoracic surgeon and the seven-time, Daytime Emmy Award-winning host of the “The Dr. Oz Show,” and his wife and author Lisa Oz will co-host the gala. The evening will applaud the unwavering and tireless work of honorees The Choudhrie Family Foundation, Rocco DiSpirito, and the California Walnut Board.

Since undergoing a life-saving heart transplant surgery, performed by Dr. Oz, Sudhir Choudhrie has championed the cause of organ donation. His recent book “From My Heart” is an account of his struggle with heart disease and his miraculous recovery.

All U.S. proceeds from the book will be donated to the Choudhrie Family Foundation, which supports medical research and education and has helped fund a new HealthCorps campaign to educate teens on the importance of organ donation.
