The advocacy organization World Vegan Vision celebrated Ram Navami at Siddhivinayak Temple in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, April 20, 2024.

The vegan Ram Navami aimed at showcasing the commitment to veganism and compassion, a press release from organizers said.

Asif Khan from Kalavant Center NYC, sang some soulful bhajans during the event.

A special ceremony was held for Ram Parivar, conducted by President and priest Dilip Upadhaya.

Speeches on the benefits and gains of veganism, as well as its importance as a lifestyle choice, were given by Uma Swaminathan of World Vegan Vision, and Megha (no last name) from India’s Ubenti community.

Organizers thanked volunteers for their efforts, and a special award was presented to Arti Bhavesh Patel. Other dedicated volunteers who gave of their time included Kardamp Jani and Vishwa Choksi.

A delicious Vegan Mahaprasad was served following the Ram Arati, organizers said.
