Dance-drama Ramleela staged at the Indian Consulate in New York

The Indian Consulate in New York hosted the dance-drama of the Ramleela epic, attracting a full house to the elaborate and well-choreographed performance.

The Indian Consulate described it as a “mesmerizng” performance, staged by the well-known Navrang Dance Academy.

The story of Lord Ram’s battle against evil, emerging triumphant, “inspires us eternally to lead lives based on the ideals of Dharma, righteousness, courage and integrity,” the Consulate posted on its X, formerly known as Twitter, account.

Navrang Dance Academy, based in South Plainfield, NJ, established by Varsha Naik, describes itself as “a place where people create, discover and grow.” From perfecting various dance techniques to getting the expressions right, its team displayed its artistic abilities in the choreography and staging of the mega- performance of the dance-drama Ramleela.
