AIG opens new branch in Edison, New Jersey

EDISON, NJ – American International Group, Inc. (AIG), which was founded in Shanghai, China in 1919, held a grand opening of their Edison, NJ office, on September 27.

The AIG Financial Network, which is part of AIG’s Life Insurance business, is a financial services group that focuses on multicultural markets and by locating the new office in Edison, New Jersey, they will be able to serve the state’s large and diverse Asian American population.

The 11,750-square foot space is designed for over 50 financial professionals and support staff who are fluent in English as well as one or more Asian languages and the office also features signage and photography that pays tribute to the local Chinese and South Asian culture.

We are committed to serving this market’s life insurance and retirement planning needs more comprehensively than ever before,” said Mark Peterson, the Executive Vice President and Chief Distribution Officer of Life Insurance at AIG Financial Distributors.

The Edison office will be headed and managed by Jason Ning, who has more than 20 years of experience in the life insurance and financial services industry and is dedicated to serving the local community as well as facilitating opportunities for highly-qualified financial professionals to grow their careers in insurance sales and management.

AIG Financial Network also has offices in Bethesda, Maryland; Annandale, Virginia; Pasadena, San Jose and San Mateo, California; and Houston, Texas. They serve nearly 90 million customers worldwide.
